Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@clmatebarrier.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Savings vary based on several factors, however reported savings are as high as 40% off of cooling costs

Prodex is a dual layered radiant barrier sandwiched over a closed-cell polyethylene foam. This not only makes Prodex a more durable solution, ensuring years of functionality, but it also is a multi use barrier. Prodex works for heat and cold. Due to its closed cell structure, it acts as a moisture and a vapor barrier and is self sealing. Generic products are often created using air bubble or even single layer foil, which lack the structural integrity and are a potential home for bugs and insects.

Depending on the size and complexity of the attic space, Prodex installations are typically completed in 1 - 2 days.

Prodex Radiant Barrier can be installed in multiple locations. Regardless of the choice of location Either below the rafters, above the joists or a complete covering of both rafters, joists and any surrounding wall areas, there must be an air gap between the surfaces and the Prodex.
